So.... you are dying right. I know...cutest backdrop ever..
A Story:
So I officially love to shoot children. Always will and always have. However, my photography has and always has meant to only be a hobby...not so much a career. So...I still shoot, still take bookings, still love to train other photographers, still sell photoshop actions...however, I am just keeping this all at a minimum so my family time never runs out! So I decided to only shoot outside from here on out most of the time (I still have my lighting though if needed). So my cute friend and neighbor Jordyn bought my studio from me. I sold everything I have to her and she happened to have her own stash of goodies, and lighting. So now I kind of consider her my sister company because I keep sending people her way when I feel a bit busy. Anyway, if you need an outside shoot, totally call me! Thats been kind of my thing lately. However if you need a child session indoors or a newborn session, you must certainly should check out the studio that is in the pictures below. As far as these pictures go, well I still love to design and help shoot friends and this is Jordyn's little girl. She was kind enough to let me take a few of the pics from her session and edit them because I wanted ya'll to see this cute backdrop we designed together!

How to edit a picture like this:

Small home made tables so you don't need chairs!
Just take some large matte board from office maxand hot glue any type of short legs on. I used four inch foam poles from Roberts Arts and Crafts. Cutthem down to size for little girls legs. Glue at least six legs on the table all over so it is sturdy in the middle too.Not suitable for girls under three or four years old.

Had a fun shoot with a friend today. We took shots of Brinley and Cozy in her cute headbands, lace leggings, lace bottoms like the one below, and just for fun shots. This was one of my favorites but there are more to come!

Poor Brin has two ear infections, and upper respiratory infection, and a UTI. And yet, she is still the sweetest thing ever. Love snapping shots of her when she is sleeping.

Mr. Bowdy on the other hand is nine months old and not crawling yet. So I thought I better snap a few in the studio before he is on the move...which I think will be soon!

This last pic just cracked me up because he kept bobbing from the camera. It was hilarious because he knew what he was doing.

Here is cute Isabella Mae. She was born with a little rash...but she is the cutest thing ever and we didn't want to wait too long to take her pictures because she was 8 pounds! So...I used my skin fixing action that I will soon be selling!

Here I wanted to show Isabella and how my newborn skin fixing action can edit her skin to a more creamy color. I can't wait to show more examples!
Here is one just because it is so cute! My friend Tiffany brought her own props, and really wanted to use grandma's chair, and she wanted them simple and modern. So this is what we got!

Here are some more examples of little Walker with my studio photoshop actions. Little Walker was the easiest little baby to shoot. I got tons and tons of shots of him in less than two hours.

I edited this tree hanging shot a bit more natural looking. I just think he is precious.

I wish I had fixed his hands a bit in this basket shot, but I just love his brow line. Little baby boys always have the cutest little forehead wrinkles.

the best spray tanning

My good friend Nicole Brown has a custom spray tan machine

in her home in Lindon. Why go to her and not a tanning salon?

Well she does a better job and she does it out of her home so if you are like me and

you really don't want to find a babysitter...you can just bring your kiddos over.

It takes about ten minutes and your done!

Her tan looks very real and I never have lines on my hands or anything!

She also does late night hours so you can tuck your kiddos in bed

and hop on over while your husband watches them.

You wake up the next morning looking nice and tan.

Just want everyone to know...I realize the last three families have all been in this beautiful grove. Well...they got very lucky because you can only shoot here on cloudy days and all three of the families got cloudy days and its close by andit just turned out beautiful! A Halloween Birthday Party!

We invited moms and kids to come hang.

Moms to chat...kids to ride bikes in their costumes!

What I thought was going to be a disaster...

was the cutest birthday party ever!

I had to make a long post and share all the cute little outfits that showed up...

Tiffany designed my Halloween invitation...we used Brin's picture from last Halloween.

This is me and Tiffany...

Tiffany did all the amazing decor for this party...she is absolutely amazing at what she does!

When I asked Brin what she wanted to be for her birthday partyshe said a "mermaid fairy"so mermaid fairy Brinley was this year...and will be for Halloween too!

and the treats were made by the talented Misti Stoddard.

So Cruz and I have been buddies for a while now...I have tried to get a smile out of him on numerous occasions...here is what I usually end up getting...the look that says...Steph...get out of my face...you are weird!

Then he came and I was bound to get a smile...instead we got tears and a bad fall in my studio...this is about all we got out of the studio...

Then I decided to take Cruz down the street by some old cars.And finally...that personality I have been wanting to see...finally shined!

My "maternity leave" is now over.

Going to be a fun busy fall for our family. I am taking a break again in mid-December though.

Here are the two that have been keeping me so busy these days...gosh I love them.

Can I just tell you that my daughter drags my heels out all over the house and I trip on them every single day. But secretly, I love this about her.

He doubled in size in only a month. Big boy now. Here he is...six weeks old.
Can't wait to start shooting again in October. My brain is overflowing with new ideas and my studio is full of new updates!!! And I can't wait to shoot all the cute families outside! Bring on the fall leaves!

Its about time I had a newborn shoot of one of my own!
I love this little man. He was named after his daddy and grandpa.
And just so all of you know...Bowdy is pronounced "Bo dee"
I had a great delivery and I love being a mom of two. I can't wait to get more fun creative shots of him.
But right now, he is just soooo tiny and delicate, so I just took a few simple ones to begin with!
Oooh I just love him. Being a mom is the best thing ever!
More pictures to come soon! Just need to get a little fat on his bones. ; )
